Leather Care Guide
Preserve the beauty of your handcrafted pieces
Daily Care
- Keep your leather goods away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading and drying.
- Store in a cool, dry place with good air circulation. Use dust bags when not in use.
- Stuff bags with tissue paper to help maintain their shape during storage.
- Avoid overloading your bag as this can stretch the leather and damage the structure.
Cleaning
- Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dust and dirt.
- For stubborn stains, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap. Never soak leather in water.
- Always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first.
- Allow leather to air dry naturally. Never use a hairdryer or place near a heater.
Conditioning
- Apply a leather conditioner every 3-6 months to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
- Use a high-quality conditioner specifically designed for the type of leather.
- Apply in circular motions with a soft cloth and allow to absorb completely.
- Buff with a clean, dry cloth for a beautiful finish.
Water & Moisture
- If leather gets wet, blot immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth.
- Allow to dry naturally at room temperature, away from heat sources.
- Apply a leather protector spray to create a water-resistant barrier.
- Avoid wearing leather bags in heavy rain when possible.
What to Avoid
- Harsh chemicals, including alcohol-based products and bleach
- Excessive exposure to sunlight or heat
- Plastic bags for storage (leather needs to breathe)
- Hanging bags by their handles, which can cause stretching
