Leather Care Guide

Preserve the beauty of your handcrafted pieces

Daily Care

  • Keep your leather goods away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent fading and drying.
  • Store in a cool, dry place with good air circulation. Use dust bags when not in use.
  • Stuff bags with tissue paper to help maintain their shape during storage.
  • Avoid overloading your bag as this can stretch the leather and damage the structure.

Cleaning

  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dust and dirt.
  • For stubborn stains, use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap. Never soak leather in water.
  • Always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first.
  • Allow leather to air dry naturally. Never use a hairdryer or place near a heater.

Conditioning

  • Apply a leather conditioner every 3-6 months to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
  • Use a high-quality conditioner specifically designed for the type of leather.
  • Apply in circular motions with a soft cloth and allow to absorb completely.
  • Buff with a clean, dry cloth for a beautiful finish.

Water & Moisture

  • If leather gets wet, blot immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth.
  • Allow to dry naturally at room temperature, away from heat sources.
  • Apply a leather protector spray to create a water-resistant barrier.
  • Avoid wearing leather bags in heavy rain when possible.

What to Avoid

  • Harsh chemicals, including alcohol-based products and bleach
  • Excessive exposure to sunlight or heat
  • Plastic bags for storage (leather needs to breathe)
  • Hanging bags by their handles, which can cause stretching
